Linsey's Crafty Blog: Remember The Magic Mixed Media Card

Hi Friends! Today is my guest design team post over at the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog and I've made a couple of holiday/winter mixed media cards with step by step pics. I only have 1 more post to share after this before my guest design term ends at the end of January, so I hope you can check it out! I'm sharing 2 super easy holiday cards that I made with Gelatos® Colors and some textural accents from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®. 2 cards in less than 30 minutes--nice!

First, I took a piece of watercolor paper and colored Gelatos® Colors in Boysenberry, Silver Ice and Metallic Mint.

Next, I spritzed water with my misting bottle and blended gently with my fingers, then dried with my heat gun.

Then I mixed up some Whipped Spackle and Glass Bead Glitter Gel together. Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® textural accents mix and match so beautifully!

I then spread the sparkly whipped mixture over a lovely snowflake stencil from Clearsnap with my palette knife, lifted carefully and let dry completely.

I finished with a stamped sentiment and some trim. The same process was done on the white card, it just has a different look. I love how striking the whipped spackle/glass bead glitter gel mixture turned out against the water-blended gelatos colors!
