"Music Makers" Tag

Hello and happy Thursday! Oh boy, I'm still on a big mixed media kick and also my satin ribbon flower making kick! I revel in finding things around the house to recycle and today I made a tag totally from scratch using a piece of cardboard box and another satin rose from my ribbon scraps (see how-to tutorial on post below) in yellow. Along the way, I discovered a neat trick for the flowers.

See the center of the flower--see how it kind of looks like the centers of some types of real flowers--well, I just left the strings hanging after tying off the thread used to sew the flower layers together and then singed them very lightly and quickly (you have to blow it out as soon as it lights). It instantly creates that look! I'm tickled over this because it was a happy accident!

The rest of the tag is comprised of card stock, tissue paper, music paper, fabric/tulle, ribbon, liquid pearls, gold sequins, mini lime bling gems, pink staples, plastic flourish,  sequin butterflies (Wild Orchid), Faber Castell gelatos, Mod Podge, fancy pin, heart pin, sentiment/bird/parentheses/bg stamps from Unity, acrylic paints, SU and Versafine ink...and I think that's it! Again, I just played today. No plans, no restraints--no idea what I'm going to do with this tag hah! But so what, it was fun! :) Thanks so much for stopping by my friends!
