Follow Your Dreams and FLY!

Hi Friends! Wow, I haven't posted in a few days! I think I had to recover from my NSD hangover lol! I do have some projects waiting in the wings for the rest of this week though and I'm really looking forward to sharing them!
Today's project is an altered muslin bag. I started off going for an Americana theme but then took a left turn somewhere along the way and started adding bird stuff so... this bag has become more of a "follow your dreams, spread your wings and fly" sort of deal (or uncage your creativity...uncage your spirit...freedom...you get the idea)
Entering this into the Paper Issues Challenge: In The Navy
I started with a 3x4" muslin bag from 3 Girl Jam and stamped PKS polka dots background directly onto the bag with SU! Night of Navy. Then I had tons of fun playing with burlap center stitched ribbon, burlap string natural and ivory crochet lace as well as Wild Orchid sweetheart blossoms in red and cosmos daisies in mixed aqua all from my one-stop ribbon and Wild Orchid flower shop Really Reasonable Ribbon. The name says it all folks! Mini wooden birdcage is from Sa Crafters, another delightful online shop I recently discovered. I got 2 wooden cages for .99 and was very happy with my first order! Sa carries a nice range of products for crafting and she does a wonderful job of showcasing her products and sharing inspiration using them on her YouTube channel. Sa is a doll and I just adore her! The poker chip, fabric raffle ticket, star button, red heart brad, mini safety pin and gold bird flying with heart envie are all from my stash--happy to use up some of those little trinkets I tend to hoard! The sentiment from MCT Teeny Tag Greetings was stamped directly onto burlap ribbon. That little dotted circle thingy is from my new embellishment kit from Scrappin' Madge. They are called CANDI dots from Craftworks UK--super cool, super fun and super popular embellishments--that is what Madge's embellishment kits are all about! Go ahead and contact Madge directly if you're interested in joining her embellishment kit club!
I'm entering my bag into the following challenges:

I think that's it! I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I enjoy sharing it! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a creative and blessed day!
