Trust The Creator

Hello my friends and happy Wednesday! Today I've decided to share  my very first mixed media canvas. I have really been wanting to get into working with my Faber-Castell Gelatos but nervous to do so and after watching many videos on YouTube showing how to use them, I took the plunge! This canvas is a fun 6x6 size--not too overwhelming for the beginner like myself. I get all my canvases from Blick Art Supplies--I haven't found a better deal on open stock canvases anywhere. I was also inspired by Take The Challenge with Mou- May 2014. This month, Mou's challenge requires the use of 2 or more Design Memory Craft products on a handmade memory project. Here it is
I stamped this wonderful new image by Phyllis Harris from Unity Stamp Co called Trust the Creator. I stamped it onto tissue paper then secured down with a layer of mod podge under and over the girl. The sentiment I stamped directly onto the canvas last after blending and stamping my background.
The Design Memory Craft products used on this project are:
Faber-Castell Gelatos (background and girl)
Gold Metallic PITT Artist Pen (hair, bird and highlights on boots)
Fine Black Pen from Essential PITT Artist Pen Pack (outlining)
What do you think? I have much to learn and far to go, but I really enjoyed the process and the more I look at this one, the more I like it. Thank you so much for stopping by and allowing me to share my first mixed media canvas with you! Have a creative and blessed day!
