Really Reasonable Ribbon August Blog Hop!

Hello old friends and new!  Welcome to my blog! If you are hopping with us for the RRR August blog hop, you should have arrived here from seeing a super fabulous project at JENN'S BLOG. If not, you can always head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start the hop. I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this month's Ribbon Club Assortment! It's full of gorgeous Fall colors that will transition beautifully into the Christmas season as well. Take a look!
Right?! The colors and patterns instantly spark my desire to start creating Autumn projects. Now, I love to cook and bake and especially canning foods. I'm not sure, but Fall may be my favorite season for being in the kitchen. I keep my big crock pot out constantly and love the aromas of a roast n veggies, fresh apples and cinnamon and all the sweet and savory delights of Fall. The transition into the holiday season is something I really look forward to as well. I love to try new recipes and find "keepers" for my stash. In honor of the upcoming Autumn which will be upon us sooner than I feel like it should be, I decided this month's blog hop was the perfect opportunity to make a place to store some of my favorite new Fall recipes and a few oldies too. It's always so much fun to play with the beautiful ribbon in the Ribbon Club Assortment and this gorgeous collection that is the August Ribbon Club Assortment was a joy! RRR also carries a great selection of paper flowers and stems and I think a few Wild Orchid Mulberry Leaves in Brown make a lovely accent for the cover.
I used every one of the ribbons from the assortment. In addition to the front cover, I sandwiched a small loop of ribbon between 2 tabs on each page. I wanted everything to really stay in place so I used the most awesome dry adhesive on the planet, in my very humble opinion--the new refillable Xtreme Adhesive by Tombow. Nothing is shifting on this baby! And I'm not sure that even my recipes themselves could be more scrumptious than this yummy blend of ribbon textures, patterns and colors together! Mwah! My compliments to the ribbon master chef!! (aka: Bonnie hehe)
I'm still loving my Paper House Productions 6x6 "What's Cookin" designer paper pad and it of course worked perfectly for my cookbook pages as well as compliments the ribbon wonderfully! Now I will enjoy filling it with yummy recipes! :)
And that's a bit of my little Fall cookbook :) I'm entering it into the current Paper Issues Challenge: Mix Tape.
Thanks so much for letting me share with you today. Next stop on the hop, the lovely and talented CHERYL!
