Winter Wonderland Mixed Media Canvas

Hey friends, happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here, yay! I hope you are not one of the unfortunate ones who still seem to be buried under 2 tons of snow, ugh. If so, my heart and prayers go out to you. If you've been stopping by my blog, you may have noticed that my last few projects have all been winter themed with white, blues and hues of purple--but they actually all look very different at the same time. And even though today's project is still all about snow, I'm sort of hoping that we've seen all of the white stuff we're going to this season. Frankly, I'm already anticipating Spring...but for the moment, I will try to be happy and thankful for today, no matter what the weather. And so, I have what I think will be my final wintery project for a while. It's my last entry for the DecoArt Media Winter Wonderland Challenge.  It's a mixed media canvas and I enjoyed making it so very much! There's still about 16 hours left in the challenge so why not grab a few of fav DecoArt supplies and join in the fun? Look at what's up for grabs for the winner! I like it....I like it. A lot. :)
And here's my winter wonderland mixed media canvas...
I had the best time finding all sorts of fun things to stick on this 6x12" canvas! It's a really great way to clear out your embellishment and fabric stash too. Some of these doo-dads I've had for several years and it's so cool to find a use for them! I used DecoArt Snow TexDecoArt Dazzling Metallics Paint in Ice Blue, DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint in Snow White and DecoArt Glamour Dust Paint in Ice Crystal, along with some other favorite mixed media supplies. Mmm, dreamy.....
Here's a few close-ups with more detail. Lots of snowflakes.....
A balcony, a filmstrip and even a ballerina are all part of my winter wonderland 2016....
DecoArt Snow Tex is new to me and it has now replaced the stuff I used to swear by.  This is the real deal and I absolutely love it! I will use Snow Tex from here on out for all my snowy-effect projects for sure!
Well, that's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share with you! Here's wishing you a most creative and blessed day!
