MMMC #31-Merry & Bright Challenge

Hello friends and happy December to you! I love this month so much! It's filled with all sorts of fun and so much more! Today is the start of another new and super fun challenge at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog! To celebrate this festive month our MMMC #31 theme is Merry & Bright! The DT had the delightful opportunity to work with Eileen Hull's fabulous Sizzix Box and turn it into something merry and bright for the holiday season. Oh my, I had so much fun with it! I hope you'll be inspired to join in our Merry & Bright challenge this month! Eileen Hull is our sponsor and the prize is one you'll definitely want to get your crafty little hands on! Stop by our MMMC blog and see all the other wonderful ways our DT designed their boxes, then get your merry and bright mixed media crafting on!!
And since I'm so blessed to be designing for Really Reasonable Ribbon, it's also time for our RRR Challenge #154-Winter Holiday with Ribbon or Trim Theme! Yay! 2 new challenges, tons of fun! Join one or both today!!! :D
I call this the "Magical Christmas Box" and I enjoyed making is so very much! I used Graphic 45 papers to cover it and added a variety of pretty WOC Roses, Red Sweetheart Blooms and WOC Bead Berry Sprays. I added a set of Tim Holtz metal feet, which I spray painted glitter gold and to the top, and a pretty vintage-style knob with gold painted metal base. The fabulous ribbon is 1/8" Diagonal Stripe in Black--just perfect for the feel of my vintage box, I think. :)
Here are shots of the sides and close ups. These vintage-style images are from Crafty Secrets and they seem like they're really vintage since I've had them for almost 10 years, haha. So glad I finally got inspired to use them on my box.  I added some snowflake rub-ons and Prima foil ru b-ons for a bit more interest. I love how if you look closely, you can read the music sung by this festive winter bird is the song "Jingle Bells". :)
Here's the other side of the box. I had fun adding pretty embellies like mini candy cane, buttons,  puffy hearts and music notes! Also more foil rub ons for shimmer and shine!
And that's my merry and bright inspiration for you today! I hope you enjoyed it and thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed and creative day!
