Cold Hands, Warm Hearts Treat Bags

Hello and happy Monday! Today is my day over at the RRR blog and I'm sharing a cute idea that will help warm you up during this cold season--winter treat holders! These are just for fun and I think they turned out really cute! Think of making a normal cold winter day more festive by whipping up a few treat holders and filling them with a favorite treat or afterschool snack for the kids! These are also great for winter-themed birthday parties at home or at school! Also, these would make for a nice little gift to give to teachers just to let them know they're appreciated through the year, not only at the beginning and end of the year hehe! In short, winter treat bags make for a bright spot in what can be an otherwise dreary winter season! Take a peek!
They were super easy to put together. I just took some of my favorite 3x4 journaling cards from the Sub Zero Simple Stories collection and layered them atop an Anna Griffin fancy die cut, then popped them onto a black mini treat bag. The special part is the ribbon slider band I made to decorate each one. I used the 5/8" Glitz Ribbon Silver, 3/8" Satin with Silver Metallic Edges Apple Green and 3/8" Satin with Metallic Edges Blue Topaz. The 3/8" ribbons were layered atop the 5/8" silver ribbon and then tied into a big festive bow. The ribbon slider come right off the bags so you can keep them as a memento---everyone knows that you don't throw away perfectly gorgeous ribbons and trims--you keep them and stash them away for whatever you may want them for later! ;)
And that's all for me! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my treat bags! Stay warm and cozy this winter--and happy crafting!
