Do The Dino Shuffle!

Hello friends, I'm making this card for the Wobble Wednesday challenge #4- Birthday's just in time. My card is also for a little boy named Justin who is battling terminal Cancer and he will turning 9 years old this Friday. I sure hope he likes dancin' dinosaurs! I used cuts from Birthday Cakes (dino, balloons, 9, J) and Plantin Schoolbook (circles) cartridges for my fun triple circle card. I love this card style, just still trying to perfect it :)
There's that "wobble" action I love so much! YOU can get your Action Wobbles at the Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Shoppe! Thanks to the super sweet Janis at Pause.Dream.Enjoy. for sending them to me in my winner pkg for joining in her 52 Tags challenge!
Here's a view of the card closed

Mini Easter Pails

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  Today I made a trio of fun pails that are the perfect size for a sweet Easter treat or goodie.  They are very similar to the mini Christmas pails I made in December and since they were so easy, I thought they'd be just as fun for Easter! I picked up these white mini pails at my local Dollar Tree (3 per/pk for $1) can't beat that!
My Creative Time products used for this project include: Scallop and Stitched Circle Die and Happy Hunting stamp set.
Did you know that it is as easy as 1-2-3 to create your own custom tissue paper?! Oh boy, is it ever! 1-plain white tissue paper, 2-favorite stamps, 3-inks--voila! Told ya! :)  I used My Creative Time Spring Chicken Backgrounds stamp set to make my floral patterned tissue paper
I'm entering my Easter pails into Jill's Sunday's Are Lovely #8 + Giveaway! Check it out, it's awesome!
And I hope you like em! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!!! xoxo

April Showers and Maybe Some Flowers!

Hi friends! I've made a card today for a few challenges and just for fun! I thought this Cricut cut from my Give A Hoot cartridge was so cute--I wish I could give a card to my flower bed! My tulips and daffodils are so darn confused this year, they bloomed a bit early when it became warm and then died when it snowed again, and again...poor things! And poor me--I usually have a beautiful bouquet of fresh tulips from my garden in a vase for Easter--looks like I'll be buyin a bunch from Safeway this year! lol
Anyhoo, here's my card!
This wonderful sentiment is from My Creative Time's "Happy Hunting" stamp set and I love it!

I'll be entering this card for the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stoppin' by! Have a GREAT ONE! xoxo

A Throwback Thursday-Royal Digi Mix with an Easter twist!

Happy Saturday my crafty friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Here's my card for this week's Throwback Thursday challenge, episode #366 at My Creative Time and for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi challenge #7 with an Easter theme of course!
I knew I had to use this furry cutie from Mamie Doodle Designs before Easter and it was perfect for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi challenge, to make a card with a digi image and Easter theme, ta-dah!  Miss Emma's sentiment "You're egg-straordinary" is from My Creative Time's Happy Hunting stamp set. I cut the scalloped circle card and layers from Wild Card cartridge, an oldie but always a goodie! :)

Thanks for popping in today! Hugs and smiles to all! XOXO

Sweet Easter Wishes

Hi there! I'm officially in the Easter-card-making-mood with my brand new My Creative Time "Hello Spring" stamp set! Isn't Emma's little bunny so sweet!! I just love him and there's lots of cute accessories that come with this set too...now I just need to practice my coloring skills so I can do this lil guy justice! :)
My embellishments are a hodge podge of scrap ribbon, lace and rosettes. The base is cuttled with swiss dots, my favorite embossing folder on the planet. I heat embossed liquid applique to the bunny's tummy, but I'm thinking I should've reversed it--if I would have colored his tummy and covered the bunny himself with the liquid applique, he would've been furry all over. Oh well, we live and learn lol :)
I also wanted to share a very sweet and beautiful gift my friend Lisa Rhodes sent me for winning a blog candy I gave away a while back.  She is so talented and thoughtful, just look at the pretty card she made me and OMGosh, this gorgeous handcrafted necklace!!!! I'm so lucky! I love it xoxo
It's even more beautiful in real life and I can't wait to wear it! Thank you Lisa!
Thank you for visiting me! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

A Shabby-Chic Spring Birthday

Hello friends, I hope your weekend has been a wonderful one...before the grind begins yet again! ;) I got a late start to my craft room today but once I gazed at all the awe inspiring creations from the design team ladies of the 5 challenges I've entered at the end of my post, I had get crafty too! Hope you click on the links to play along--there's just so much stunning inspiration, fun challenges and goodies too! Gotta love it :) Also, I've been itching to ink up my brand new My Creative Time "Hello Spring" stamp set, one of Miss Emma's most sensational stamp sets to date--- so here it is!
I'm actually quite pleased with my card because I've been in awe of many ladies cards I've seen lately that have this amazing shabby-chic feel and seem to be chocked full of glorious flowers, ribbons and gorgeous trims, lace and have an all-around beautiful vintage-style feel to them. But my budget is tight at the moment and I'm not able to splurge on all of these lovely, yet expensive embellishments--soooo I decided to try to create my own with supplies I already have--and Lord knows I have enough! I used some Fresh Cuts images from Rebecca Sower that I've had for seriously, like 10 years for my flowers. I had some kind of fun distressing and sponging the flowers and leaves and tried to create more dimension with buttons, brads, lace trim and twine.
I'm trying hard to improve my coloring skills and along with my limited budget (ugh, I hate that word lol) I have a limited amount of Copic markers, which can make blending difficult when creating that look you really want with depth and dimension. So I'm working with what I have right now and after watching Annika Ryan's coloring tutorials over at Kenny K. Downloads, I tried to apply some of her tips, which I've accomplished at only a very elementary level. Annika is a master at coloring, a true artist, and she explains the the process with easy-to-follow steps as she's coloring an image, showing each copic color (this is how I know that I need ALOT more Copics! Lol) Anyway, she's just amazing and so humble--she actually says during her tutorial that her way isn't necessarily the right way and someone else's is probably much better......pshhhh WHATEVA!!! If you wanna watch a master at work, check her out--just sayin cus I learned alot just by watching those and I stink at coloring! But practice makes perfect, I suppose! :) I really enjoyed creating my card today, I found it very soothing and I hope you have enjoyed taking a peek too!
Chicks in egg from MCT Hello Spring, Birthday sentiment from MCT All Around Birthday. You can't really see it in the picture, but the chicks are attached with homemade "wiggle wire" and adds a lil extra fun. I made my first wiggle wire card recently using Amy's blog "Love To Crop" and her wonderful Wiggle Wire Tutorial. Totally addicted now! :D You should visit Amy's blog for some supah sweet inspiration, she rocks my crafty world!
I've entered this card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I'm sorry for the long ramblings tonight lol!!! Big Hugs and Crafty Dreams to all!!! xoxo

Laissez le bon temps rouler!

translation...Let The Good Times Roll! Hello and happy weekend!!! I know it's a bit early to start celebrating Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday falls on Feb. 21st) but when I saw this week's challenge over at A Muse Studio's Challenge Blog, make a card/project with the traditional colors of Mardi Gras, PURPLE-YELLOW/GOLD-GREEN, I simply had to join in the fun! Then I saw the new "Cooking With Cricut" challenge #73 using a really great sketch and Boom! That was all the inspiration I needed. So here is my card for these 2 aforementioned challenges and I hope YOU will join in the fun too!!
In addition to the sketch, you must choose any 3 of 9 different embellishments to add to your card, mine being brads, stickles and fibers/ribbon. The Cricut cut I used is from the Sentimentals cartridge and I found it to be perfect for Mardi Gras theme. "Celebrate" sentiment from MCT Teeny Tag Greetings
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a FABULOUS weekend friends!

Beary Sweet Challenge & A Superbowl Send Off!

Hello my friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I have 1 card and 1 project to share. First, my entry for the Craft Your Passion blog challenge #95 "Beary Sweet"--to make any project with a bear on it--easy enough you say? I thought so too and came up with this!
I found this lil dumpster diver in my "Give A Hoot" Cricut cartridge and based my entire Earth Day card on him! There he is below outside of the pocket and I added couple of elements I made from stuff I was gonna throw away, but what person in her right mind would do that when she can recycle!!!
I am sad to say that today is my last official day designing for My Creative Time.  What a joy and honer it has been to work with Emma and such an awesome and talented Design Team! It is an experience I am so very grateful for and one I will cherish always.  For my final send-off project, I made a fun banner for Superbowl Sunday tomorrow and this entire banner was created with ALL My Creative Time products!

Thanks so much for visiting me today! I hope you have a wonderful and fun Sunday my friends!!

A Wiggle It, Just a Little Bit Fantasy Land Challenge with Getting Cricky!

Wow, just the title alone is a mouthfull lol! This was such a fun combo of challenges, I might even make another one! I made the card below for K. Andrews Getting Cricky challenge HERE and turned it into a "two-fer" using the fabulously fun Wiggle-Wire Tuesday Tutorial provided by Amy at Love's To Crop HERE! You should definitely try a wiggle wire card too, it's super easy and adds a whole lotta wiggly fun to any ordinary card!
Cricut cartridge used for unicorn: Once Upon A Princess; white scroll frame: Storybook; S
And yet another reason I ADORE Teeny Tag Greetings and the AWESOME My Creative Time, this sentiment worked perfectly for the "fantasy land" theme--simply magical!!!
Trying to show you my homemade wiggle wire below--not as sophisticated as Miss Amy's, but hey it's my first! I'll get more refined with some practice hehe :)
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you've been inspired to join in some fun challenges and try a new technique like I did! Happy crafting friends!

I'm pretty sure the groundhog saw his shadow in Seattle, even though the weather has been sunny and fair, 10 days ago we were snowed in so I won't get my hopes up just yet ;) I've been wanting to use up some scraps and the Cricut is obviously perfect for this--Paisley was calling to me, with all of it's fun animals, I chose the cute frog and decided to make it a pop up card for a lil more "ummphh"!
I realized that one of MCT's stamps from the Classmate Valentine's set has this super perfect valentine sentiment to match mr frog! hooray!!!

This site is the King of stamping inspritaion hands down and I would venture to say also the best for any papercrafter or scrapbooker alike! It is indeed, my favorite!!! Today I got some much needed inspiration for 2 different challenges over at SCS--one for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge, a monthly challenge that is just so much fun, I'm mad at myself for not participating in it sooner! My baby card is inspired from Julia's color challenge this week, get inspired by it HERE!
