All About Me in 2012 {A work in progress} for Jinger Adams Design Team Call

When I saw the design team call for Jinger Adams and The Scrapbooking Queen, my heart skipped a beat.  I immediately starting brainstorming...what 1 project could I create that might show my passion for paper crafting, highlight my artistic versatility and say something about me? I realized that I haven't really made anything  just for myself, or about myself--in a long while. I decided that this design team call was the perfect opportunity to do so! I wanted to incorporate scrapbooking, stamping and a few of my favorite techniques into my All About Me in 2012 acrylic album, my journaling will come along as I move through the year. I hope you enjoy looking at my album as much as I have enjoyed creating it!
Front Cover View
I learned a super fabby technique from the ultra talented Ali Edwards using alcohol inks and, just like her, it totally rocks! Sharing is caring! :)
Alcohol ink technique: to create a fabulous and unique look on clear acrylic, squeeze drops of Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink about 6" from your canvas and voila! You can get as creative as you want with this and I promise, you can never "mess" it up cus the more inks you spash down, you more awesome it looks! (I used Lettuce, Rust and Sunshine Yellow throughout my album)
When making scrapbooks or memory albums, I like to use 1 side for journaling and the opposite side for a photo, then I embellish to my hearts delight!
I love 3 ring albums for many reasons, adorning the rings with ribbons is one of them!
Another is that it allows me to add extras goodies in-between the larger acrylic pages. I like to add tags for journaling, pockets to hold small mementos and inspiring sentiments that say something about who I am and who I strive to be. (I used Clear Scraps 8x8 clear acrylic tab album)
My life would not be complete without my furry angel and the closest thing I have to a "child" hehe. My precious sweetheart, Maddie. She brings such joy to my days and is a true blessing. I love you Maddie!
Make journaling cubbies--so much fun to decorate with fabric, ribbons, lace, bling, flowers, charms, rub-ons, stickers, etc--add texture with your Cuttlebug...and please don't forget to stamp, even right onto your photo like I did below, coolness! (I used Cherish This Moment from MCT, and various stamps from Unity for my album)
The last page
Stamp on Acrylic technique: use Staz On ink pads by Tsukineko and your favorite images to stamp directly onto acrylic, plastic, metal, cellophane, glass and more! It's so easy and looks awesome! (I used Black and Pumpkin)
And that's the end of the road for my 2012 All About Me Album!
Thank you for visiting, it means the world to me! I wish you a weekend full of health, laughter and love (and if you're lucky, a whole lotta crafty time!) xoxo

Accordian Album-Vintage Valentine Style

Happy Friday peeps! I'm ready for the weekend, how about you? :) Here's a fun accordian album I made sometime ago at a CKC class and I just love the style of it so much, I think I'll make another for my sister and brother-in-law for Valentine's Day. This album measure 4x6" and has 6 scores. You could really put your own twist this design to create an album for any occasion--coolness!

Thanks for visiting me friends! Have a wonderfully creative day!
