Happy Holidays! Sneak Peeks and A Big Announcement!

How's that for a title! :) I've been enjoying the holidays with my family in Nevada and just returned, so I have much to share today. First and most importantly, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas full of joy and blessings and loved ones close.

I am so pleased to have the opportunity to share a couple sneak peeks of the newest Clear Dollar Stamps that will be released on January 1, 2009! What a way to begin the new year!

This treat holder was created using Farm Critters, which is so totally adorable it hurts.

I also made a card using this same set as well as the coordinating stamp wheel called Farm Sounds.

I'm just so lucky to be a part of this wonderful company and design team and I just received some wonderful news--I will continue with Clear Dollar Stamps for the next 6 months! Yay!!! I'm super excited and what stellar talent I will be surrounded by. These are the newest DT members in addition to many of the same fabulous ladies who will be continuing as well.

I know, the big day is less than a week away, but since my secret santa Cat Tidwell sent my package brimming with alterable items, tons of papers, embellishments and so much more, I simply couldn't resist completing a couple more holiday projects, so blame Cat...she did it! lol!

This altered wood ornament was quick, easy and most importantly, such fun to create! I'm still adoring the darling deer from Unity's NOV Kit Of The Month, enjoy YOUR STORY...laugh, so I had to ink him up. Won't have time to send this out to anyone, so I guess I'll just have to hang it on my own tree *snicker* :)

Also, a simple card and altered treat tin (another gift from Cat). I used Christmas List and Bitty Christmas for this project.

Hip Hop with Unity

Ah, Thursday is upon us--the best day of the week in my personal opinion. Not only is it Survivor night, but it's also Hip Hop Unity day, whoo hoo! Angela is sure to have a boat load of fabulous deals, just as she does every week, so make sure to start the blog hop HERE and see what she has up her pretty little sleeve!

Did you see what the amazing CHRISTI has for you today? Wow--what a tremendous talent that gal is!!!

I decided to show off some of Unity's stamps with these little handstitched felt ornaments. I cut out the mitten and primitive heart patterns from cream and chocolate felt and used deep red stitching to make the colors pop more. The snowflake and Jesus phrase are both from Unity's September 08 Kit Of The Month, which is still available for purchase! The were stamped on sparkey red cardstock in white craft, then embossed with silver hologram highligts from SU. Each ornament is adorned with a variety of buttons and vintage lage and ribbon, along with a silver threaded loop and these are ready to hang.

And I just had to make some of my cupcake cards for Christmas--I know you've probably seen these before, but not all dressed up and festive for the holidays! This one is topped with the darling little Gingerbread House from Bitty Christmas. These were as fun as ever and if you want to make some Christmas cupcake cards too, you can find the links to 3 different sizes plus coordinating boxes for them!

A Very Mousey Christmas

HAPPY SUNDAY! The always creative thinking Linda Borneman has come up with a fun new weekend color challenge over at PaperCraftPlanet for Clear Dollar Stamps lovers (which I totally am)! Anyone can play along as long as you have some CD stamps and follow the color combo, so come along and join the fun! This week Linda has chose a beautiful combo of real red, taken with teal and white. We will use Stampin' Up color descriptions, but if you can always use whatever cardstock you have that is a close match to each color.

Marvin & Marcy must have been very good mice this year! Just look what Santa left for them--a big, yummy cheese wedge and all sorts of wrapped presents too! I used the presents from In The Bug and the santa hat from Just Nutty as well as Merry Christmas greeting, all from Clear Dollar Stamps.

CAS and MFT and everything nice!

that's what wonderful papercraft projects are made of! : ) Here are a couple of projects I've done in the past day or so. I made my first coaster gift box from my most favorite addition to date- The FABulous WASSAIL Christmas paper line from Basic Grey! I covered each coaster with a piece of wassail paper, which I also Cuttlebugged with the Swiss Dots folder for added texture. I followed the wondefully simple tutorial by Taylor V. This flower, which I strived to make resemble a mulberry poinsettia, is from the beautiful new set called Intrique, from Clear Artisitc Stamps. I first embossed the flower in gold, then colored it in with Copic Ciao markers #'s Copics RV13, R59, G94YG67 and the colorless blender. I added touches of metellic shimmer over the poinsettia as well. I filled my gift box with holiday cranberry and vanilla frosted animal cookies, which I will send to a super sweet friend for Christmas.

I also tried out, once again, for My Favorite Things guest designer --this time for January. Michelle's challenge was to alter a store bought or recycled piece and I chose to alter this plain cork board into a fun message board for any sweet girl.

I used MFT's Here's The Scoop stamps to create push pins for the board. I stamped "here's the scoop" on each note (which is simple copy paper cut into squares). To better preserve the push pins, I added a couple layers of crystal laquer to each ice cream cone and sundae. I think this turned out ok, but I totally saw other entries for this challenge that trumped me to the max! HiP HoP ThurSdaY with UNITY!

Hola, peeps! Happy Thursday--only 1 day till TGIF! If you came from Patter's Blog, you are already full of inspiration and I'm super excited to show you some of the stamps from Unity's December Kit Of The Month called Little Reminders. It is brimming with fabulousness, as Unity's Kits always are! And be sure to visit Angela for all her awesome deals of the day!

Can you guess who this ornament is for??? Miss Whateva herself, Brooke Lien! She has coined this term "Whateva" in a much sweeter way than it ever was thought of before--even her blog is named "Whateva", how cute! I can think of lots of fun ways to use this stamp and I'm certain to be playing with it much more. I wasn't able to get a very good pic of Brooke's ornament, but you get the idea, right? :)

And just for fun and giggles, I made a tag for this bottle of Merlot. Who doesn't love a whino birdie, lol!

Hi there, I'm back to say that Jess Russell's challenge for Limelight's 12 days of Christmas is NOT to make anything! ...it's a super fun and festive guessing game instead! Check it out here! And since I didn't have to do a card for her challenge, I decided to do Rox's sketch challenge over at Splitcoast. I played with my Clear Artistic Stamps because I love this wreath with the 3 words surrounding it from Joy Of The Season. I added gold stickles to the little stars within the wreath and red stickles to the bow. Did you know that this set and Belinda's 2 other Holiday sets are on sale this week for only $8.95! That is an amazing deal, take it from me! These stamps are absolutely delightful and you should have them in your holiday collection for sure! I'm just sayin...I love em!

Limelight-2nd Day of Christmas Challenge

Hi, I'm late posting this card. It should have been up on Tuesday. I made it for Limelight's 2nd day of Christmas challenge hosted by none other than my blingalicious buddy, LEE! Hers was an inspiration challenge, which was a glorious picture of her "backyard"--check it out here! I used my Lovely As A Tree from Stampin Up! since they are my most beautiful trees. I stamped them in white on black cardstock, as Lee suggested and added diamond stickles to immulate snow glistening. I don't love this card, but I love Lee and the ispiration she chose for us, so I'm sharing it just because. :) Thanks for visiting me today. Girlie Girl Sneak Peek 1

Hello there! Today, I am thrilled to able to show my first sneak peek of Clear Artistic Stamps brand new stamp set called Girlie Girl, which will be released next Tuesday night, December 9th! I am simply enamoured with this delightfully girlie set! Just look at this bubble bath--who wouldn't want to be relaxing her stresses of the day away in this bubbly heaven! And we don't want to be disturbed during our bubble bath time, so I created an equallly girlie door hanger to put up during those bubblebath escapes. :) Although you can't see it here, I drew around each bubble with my silver gel pen so that each one sparkles! A combination of Prismacolor markers and Copic Ciao markers were used to color in the image.
