Hey friends! Happy Monday! So, has Spring sprung where you live yet? Or are you one of the poor souls who are being forced to endure the seemingly neverending winter of 2015-16? I hope that whatever your weather, this post finds you in good spirits and in high hopes for the warmer, sunny days ahead!
Today I'm sharing one of the several recycled projects I've made for my upcoming craft fair in May. I founds all kinds of old frames at the Humane Society last month for really cheap and decided to get them all to try transforming them into cute chicken wire memo boards that I've seen all over Pinterest. So, that's what I did and I really like how they are turning out so far!
I lightly sanded the frame first, then wiped down with a soft cloth to ensure there was no residue left before painting. Next, I painted the frame with a mixture of 2 DecoArt chalky paint colors to create this pretty aqua. After the paint dried, I lightly sanded over the top again, just to give it a slightly distressed look. Flipping the frame over, I then cut the craft chicken wire to fit and secured in place with my handy dandy staple gun. Done! Yep, you read that right....that's all there is to this super simple recycled project!
I added a few mini clothespin clips with cute kawaii chicks glued to them to hold notes on the board. How fun is that?! Super easy, super cute and I'll be super happy if other people like them too!

This is absolutely awesome my friend! I have made something similar to this myself and they are truly worth a million bucks to us, because we know that we made it look just as good, if not better, than the overpriced ones in the stores!!! :)
