MMMC #32 Put A Stencil On It!

Hey friends! Today I'm sharing my mid-month project for the MMMC #32 Put A Stencil On It! challenge. Simply create any mixed media project using at least 1 stencil and share with us on the MMMC blog for your chance to win a great prize from our sponsor!
As a designer for the MMMC blog, I often have the great pleasure of receiving product from our sponsors and this month, the awesome company STENCIL GIRL has sent each of us 3 cool and unique stencils to play and create with! I used the 6x6 Damask Waves Stencil with texture paste to create the base. Then I went to town with a variety of Tattered Angels paints, inks and sprays and some stamps to make a one-of-a-kind mixed media background.
This canvas was a blast to work on! I painted all the flowers too and added this sentiment from TCP, an all time favorite of mine and one I've used in my artwork on many occasions. The cool chipboard piece is from SaCrafters and is called Steampunk Dress Form. I first covered it in a coat of white gesso, then a layer of Glass Bead Glitter Gel, then a spritz of pearly shimmer spray. Here's a couple close-ups of the texture and details...
And did you hear the exciting news? We are over the moon about having a brand new mixed media art designer on board and I think you just might be familiar with her....a great big welcome to the ultra talented (and super sweet) Lynne Forsythe!!! Lynne oozes creativity and inspiration and I know she's going to be an awesome addition to our team!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll pull out your stencils and make a cool mixed media piece to add to our online gallery for the MMMC #32-Put A Stencil On It challenge! Happy crafting!
