Growing In Unity Day 5

Happy Friday! It's my final day as a GIU girl and I've had so much fun with you all this week! Thank you so much for all the awesome comments I received throughout the week on my Growing In Unity posts! 2 of my lovely commenters out there will be winning a fabby Unity grab bag of 25 stamps each! What a super sweet prize, huh! Unity Stamp Co. rocks my world, I tell ya! What a great pleasure it has been to share some of my Unity creations this week and I hope you enjoy my last one!
Yep! Another mixed media canvas board! I find them so fun and inspiring to make because 1.- they are very inexpensive so I can buy them in bulk and 2.- mixed media is so forgiving, I don't worry too much about making mistakes, which allows me to create more freely. On this one, I of course, used my trusty Gelatos over a pre-gesso'd 8x10 canvas board and worked the color around with some water until I was happy with it. Then I stamped this wonderful Unity sentiment stamp Be The Change onto a piece of white tissue paper with Ranger Archival Ink. I then adhered it down with a layer of gel medium. Finally, I added a few different background stamps in black and white ink for a sense of depth and framed it with black gelato and I added a few silver word beads and sequins around the sentiment.
What an inspiring quote! I hope you've been inspired today and thank you so much for sharing this wonderful week with me! Please leave your comment below for your chance at winning one of those awesome Unity grab bag prizes! I'll be contacting and announcing the 2 random winners early next week! Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

You just keep amazing me with your artistic abilities. I LOVE mixed media for the same reasons you mentioned and it's always a bit of a surprise when it's finished. This is absolutely stunning. I want to try just the canvas boards next. Lovely, my dear!
