Hello friends and happy hump day! Oh my goodness, I've made my very first batch of homemade texture paste, also called embossing paste-- and I'm having a ball! You might know how cool texture paste is to work and play with and so of course, it's expensive! Since I'm cheap and also a YouTube stalker of clever ideas I could never think up on my own, I found a much better alternative to a $9 bottle of name brand texture paste--THIS RECIPE on how to make my own! It was super simple and I had all 3 ingredients needed, although it can vary and I subbed white acrylic paint for gesso. Easy!
So I love the results and will be probably using texture paste til nobody can stand it anymore! Hope you are inspired to make some too--it's neato burrito!!!Here's a fun little tag to adorn a bag of strawberry taffy. I made this for the TCP Tuesday challenge over at The Cat's Pajamas-this weeks theme is encouragement for a friend and also send it! I really love TCP stamps, yet have few (I want them all and their dies too!) so I made use of this little poochie pulling on a present (actually a Christmas stamp) for my tag.
He's a naughty little pooch but I made him look like he's just being a good friend, hehe ;)
I also tried mixing up some color into my texture paint to get something different than white...check out this dimension with pink, isn't it nice!
That's all for today my friends! Thanks so much for stopping in to see what I've been up to! Until next time, be blessed and be crafty!
