Easy Peasy "Blessing Buckets"

Hello my friends and a very happy Friday to you! I hope you have plans to enjoy this weekend by doing whatever it is you love to do!! Ok, so the project I'm sharing today was actually supposed to be for the current Tombow challenge, however I misread the theme, which was to "alter a dollar store item into a lovely gift for Christmas". Well, I seemingly missed the "for Christmas" part and since I am hosting Thanksgiving Day dinner, my mind was on making individual guest favors for my table so therefore, my project isn't for Christmas....Oops! Oh well, at least I have my favors complete and I still get to showcase how fabulous Tombow adhesives work for so many different things! I've decided to enter my little "blessing buckets" (Thanks to my buddy, and quite possibly yours, Kathy C for the name idea!) into the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create challenge #96- Anything Goes with optional Holiday Thanks
Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge #19- For All That You Do, Thank You! (my hoarded items are the white pails, mini roses and leaves, all of which I've had in my stash for at least 2 years)
Without further ado, here they are...
Do you like them? I hope my guests will! I've made 12 of them and they came together very easily~ . And since I didn't realize my mistake til they were done, I took photos along the way. So in case someone wants to try something similar, here's what I used to make each:
1 mini tin pail-white
2 strips satin ribbon-burnt orange
2 strips patterned grosgrain ribbon
3 mini roses-2 orange, 1 cream
2 leaves-brown
3 pieces of natural twine
1 black mini clothespin
1 spiral stamen-white
1 doily-white
Tombow MONO Dots Adhesive
Tombow MONO Liquid Glue
candy (3 pieces each pail)
The mini pails are 3 for $1 at the Dollar Tree and they are super versatile! I use them often for many different occasions. The ribbon and Wild Orchid roses, spiral stamens and leaves are from my one-stop ribbon shop, Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I folded each strip like so and used the Tombow MONO Dots Adhesive to put each together.
Tombow MONO Liquid Glue is probably the adhesive I use the most often. It works on practically everything and it sticks SO well! In fact, this bottle is almost gone and it's really good timing because right now the Tombow MONO Liquid Glue is on sale for only $2.56! Time to stock up, whoo hoo!!
That's all for me! Thanks for spending some time with me today! I hope that you might come away with a bit of inspiration to make something today too! Don't forget to have a creative and very blessed day!!!
