Refurbished Wood Stand

Hi friends and happy Friday! I hope you have plans for a wonderful weekend! Today I'm sharing a project I've been working on for the past couple days. After winning this wonderful new chalky finish paint and stencils from DecoArt, I knew I wanted to start refurbishing some old pieces of furniture I had in my craft room. I started with this cheap little wood stand that used to belong to my husbands Dad. It was super easy to do with Americana® Décor™ chalky paint because it requires virtually no prepping and I really like the fresh new look the vintage stencils give my craft space!
From this....
....to this!!!
And a few pics along the way! Here's how it went...

And here's a few close-ups of the finished stand...
I added a hardware keyhole to the center of the design for a little bit of extra charm...
This is part of a hand painted ceramic tea set that my Mom made me when I was a little girl. I cherish it so very much.
And this toile pattern from Unity Stamp Co. stamped onto white tissue paper and adhered to the shelf with Gel Medium coordinates beautifully with the French-country feel of this piece.
What do you think? Do you spy something around your house that could use a makeover too? Are you inspired by this easy project to grab some chalky paint, stencils, tissue paper or stamps and recreate your space? If so, please do share!! And don't forget to have a creative and blessed day!!!

What an amazing transformation Linsey! I love that elegant pattern on the shelf, reminds me a China set my Mom used to have...it was blue but had the same gorgeous style to it! Love it!! until next time, hugs :)
