I'm adding my canvas to the May Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #24-Butterflies & Blooms! Also, I've added it to the Scrapbook.com blog challenge-Let's Get Inky! :)
I had the best time with this--I didn't think or plan too much because when I do that, my OCD sometimes kicks in and then it immobilizes me and my creativity comes to a halt. That's no fun! So instead, I just grabbed my big box of yummy 7Gypsies embellishments and Tattered Angels sprays (all available at Canvas Corp Brands), then went to town! Here's a picture of what the canvas looked like before--after smearing a nice layer of Finnabair Art Extravaganza Black Sand Texture Paste (and letting it dry) I began spraying Glimmer Mists in Turquoise Blue, True Turquoise and Navy Blue and Glimmer Glam Paints in Macadamia, Camel and Tail Fin. Once dry, I started working on the front, covering up that 4th of July sign with some cheese cloth and then 7Gypsies paper ephemera and goodies!
CCB and 7Gypsies supplies used: 4x6 Printed File Folders-Vintage, Canvas Mini Tags, Optical Lens-Antique Brass, Vintage Glass Apothecary Bottles, Flea Market Findings Charms (arrow and bird), Tickets-Vintage, as well as various flowers, buttons and some crocheted lace scraps.
I hope you've been inspired to try something new on your creative journey today! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Have a wonderful day and a great weekend!!!
