MMMC #39-Photo Inspiration & IndigoBlu!

Hello friends and happy August!! I'm super excited for the August Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #39--an inspiration photo! Take a look!

IndigoBlue Stamps is our awesome sponsor!
We had the pleasure of playing with some of their fabulous images and sentiments this month! I had the best time! I designed a mixed media piece using the Country House A6 Red Rubber Stamp by Kay Halliwell-Sutton. This wonderful image was the focal point of my project and I loved every moment spent coloring it and adding the cool mixed media painted brick around it!
I used Copic markers to color the image, then added the mixed media brick texture all around it to make it look more myseterious...I mean, don't you just want to open those lovely doors and see what's on the other side? I do! :)
A brick stencil and Black Sand Texture Paste were used to create the faux brick look. Then I covered the brick and crevices with a coat of TCW Clear Gesso, let dry, then went to town with spray, paints and inks to give the brick wall interest--I was kind of going for a very old-world brick wall, perhaps in Tuscany since this image really reminds me of Tuscany.
I added faux grass and flowers along the front and used another wonderful IndigoBlu stamp set for the sentiment and butterflies called Floral Fantasy A5 Red Rubber Stamp by Kay Halliwell-Sutton.
And that's my project inspiration for this month's MMMC#39 challenge! I hope you'll join in the fun and have a go at your chance to win some awesomeness from IndigoBlu Stamps! Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Linsey, you did a great job coloring that inviting doorway! And your brick is the most beautiful I've seen! Great use of a printer's tray! Love this!
