Really Reasonable Ribbon September Blog Hop!

Hi friends! It's September 13th and that means it's time for our monthly blog hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon! If you are arriving here from the amazing and fabulous CHERRY'S blog, then you are in the right place! If not, you can begin the hop at the RRR blog.
This month we are getting a head start on our Halloween creations with the September Ribbon Club Assortment-Halloween Assortment!
What a fun and festive ribbon collection this is! I had a ball with it, I must say! The idea for my project came from Pinterest inspiration HERE. Once I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for this ribbon assortment! And I was right! Without further ado, I present my altered witch's broomsticks!
These actually came together quite easily and they were so much fun to design! I would venture to say that any witch would trade in her boring old broom for a snazzy one like this! Even witches deserve to travel in style, hehe!
I first sprayed painted the brooms black, then I sprinkled amethyst glitter all over the front of each broom. One was covered completely and the other was done a bit more subtle, showing more of the black. I like them both!
The sticks were covered with 3 of the spooktacular ribbons in this assortment. One with the Tangerine Chevron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and brightly colored sequins. The other  with 2 different ribbons, Halloween Bold Diagonal Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon and Apple Green Satin with Grosgrain Edge. I used a high quality permanent adhesive tape runner to adhere the ribbon securely to the sticks.
Moving on to the tops of the broomsticks. I made what is called a PomPom bow and here's the great tutorial that I used. The first bow on the green stick looks a lot different than the bow on the black stick. The reason for this is that I simply made a smaller loop on the smaller, tighter Tangerine Double-face Satin bow. I actually really like how both bows turned out and I like how they are different and unique from one another.
This Tangerine Diamond Satin Ribbon is super yummy-licous! I think it should be called tangerine dream! So pretty and classy!
The bases of the brooms needed something special too, so I added a spray of flowers in Halloween-type color combination.
I couldn't help adding a morbid little twist on this one with an old metal dagger embellishment that was long hidden away in my stash. I truly hope it doesn't offend anyone. <3 nbsp="" p="">
One final look at those super fun ribbons in all their glory! I definitely think I need to get myself another package of September Ribbon Club Halloween Assortment
Thanks so much for hanging with my long post! I hope you found some inspiration here! Your next stop on the hop is SHEILA! Have a great day! Happy crafting!

Fabulous brooms, love the purple, the bows, all the wonderful things you added, especially the dagger - great idea, as the witch may need it, hehe.

Linsey, what a great idea to wrap the brooms with the ribbons and top with a bow, of course. I'm sharing this with my sister who will love this idea for her seasonal decor. tfs
