A Teapot Tuesday and Color Combo Challenge

Hello my friends and happy Tuesday. If you're a stamper, you probably know SplitCoastStampers very well and if not, you are truly missing out! This site is the King of stamping inspritaion hands down and I would venture to say also the best for any papercrafter or scrapbooker alike! It is indeed, my favorite!!! Today I got some much needed inspiration for 2 different challenges over at SCS--one for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge, a monthly challenge that is just so much fun, I'm mad at myself for not participating in it sooner! My baby card is inspired from Julia's color challenge this week, get inspired by it HERE!
Up first, my alien themed card for the Teapot Tuesday challenge. I love my "Lost In Space" stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps! I cut my card from Cricut's Wild Card cartridge to take my ordinary card to another dimension! :)

 Below is my card for the color challenge of White, Island Indigo and Pool Party. I got as close as I could in colors and the Precious Baby sentiment from My Creative Time's Teeny Tag Greetings stamp set.  This is another shaped card using my Wild Card cartridge, I just can't get enough of it!

This cutie deer is part of the WOODLAND CRITTERS stamp set from (c) Clear Dollar Stamps. I used copic ciao: E33 sand and E47 dark brown, as well as Prismacolor markers: PM-65 sienna brown and PM-109 cool grey 20% (and colorless benders).

CDS Weekend Color Challenge

These colors are a bit out of my comfort zone and nudged me to take my creativity in a different direction than normal and that is exactly what I LOVE about color challenges! It allows me to grow and expand artistically and that is a wonderful feeling! I created this mini tote bag for my sweet cousin, Megan who adores all animals, particularly horses. HORSE POETRY (5804) is a stunning set of 4 stamps (1 main image and 3 fabulous sentiments) and was just released on April 1st. I love it so much, coloring it was very relaxing.

CDS Weekend Color Challenge

Hello and happy Friday! This weekend's Clear Dollar Stamps color challenge is a great one and a welcome break from the pastel/spring color palette we've all been doing so much of lately.
WCC11 Colors:

Real Red

Bashful Blue

Chocolate

White/Vanilla/Neutral

Here's what I came up with. This card was super simple and fast! I inked the smallest bird from Song Bird Silhouettes for the center circle, then stamped the sentiment x3 below each scalloped circle.

A Very Mousey Christmas

HAPPY SUNDAY! The always creative thinking Linda Borneman has come up with a fun new weekend color challenge over at PaperCraftPlanet for Clear Dollar Stamps lovers (which I totally am)! Anyone can play along as long as you have some CD stamps and follow the color combo, so come along and join the fun! This week Linda has chose a beautiful combo of real red, taken with teal and white. We will use Stampin' Up color descriptions, but if you can always use whatever cardstock you have that is a close match to each color.

Marvin & Marcy must have been very good mice this year! Just look what Santa left for them--a big, yummy cheese wedge and all sorts of wrapped presents too! I used the presents from In The Bug and the santa hat from Just Nutty as well as Merry Christmas greeting, all from Clear Dollar Stamps.
