Festive Decorated Gift Bag

Hi there and happy Friday! Omgosh I can't believe this is the last weekend before Christmas! I still have a ton to do, but everything seems to be buzzing with holiday magic, so I don't mind a bit :) I needed to dress up some rather plain looking gift bags and found my Gift Labels set from Clear Dollar Stamps fit the bill just right. This set allows one to create a variety of gift labels like the 1 I made for my bag below. I also used the tiny holly stamp from this set to create the holly border across the bottom of the bag. Some self-adhesive holiday chipboard for the front was quick and easy.

Snow One Like You!

Hello and happy Thursday, friends! I've been so busy with the hustle and bustle of holiday excitement. Between Christmas shopping and baking, holiday get togethers and church functions and preparing to travel to my family's next Tuesday, I have managed to do some creating on the side--unfortunately, I've neglected posting my work and visiting my ever-so-talented crafting friends, for which I apologize. Today I'm playing a bit of catch-up, however, and I plan to spend some time this evening blog hopping and being inspired!
First up, a simply decorated gift box using a vintage holiday image from Crafty Secrets and some festive designer paper and ribbon scraps. The gift tag was created with the wonderful little stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps, Gift Labels.

These 3 cards were created with a very delightful set from Lizzie Anne Designs called Holiday Lane! Isn't that such a festive and fun sounding set! And it is too! I got it last year and only had a couple of opportunities to use it. I just adore these charming images and there is so much more in this set that I've not even touched yet! :) Last Christmas, I was lucky enough to have CatDidIt as my secret santa for a gift exchange we participated in. Amongst the wonderful goodies she sent, was also a most stunning card, which I used as my inspiration for this card design. I remember that I loved how she used the silver hardware from SU! and I've had the hodgepodge set for sometime now and had not been able to find as lovely a use for them as Cat did! She is so very inspiring and just a great lady, as many are already aware!
I really like how this design offers a lot of wow with not a lot of effort. Handstamped backgrounds, 1 piece of patterned or embossed paper, 1 stamped image/sentiment backed w/1 layer solid cardstock, 1 piece of ribbon and silver hardware frame and if desired, a bit of rhinestone accents for bling! Soo easy and not very time consuming per card. I added some glitter to the snowy grounds in each image and colored them with both Copic Ciao and Prismacolor markers.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and have a wonderful day!

A Brrrry Merry Christmas!

Hello friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for popping in :) Below, a couple more Christmas cards with this adorablly fun set from Clear Dollar Stamps, Just Chillin'. I can't get enough of this great holiday set illustrated by the fabulous Wendy Hall-- she does furry-friends so well!!! and how bout all the coordinating accessories (like this north pole sign) and wonderful sentiments, which not only include greetings for the holiday season, but birthday, friends, love, or just a good old-fashioned hello. I went with a chocolate and white base along with bright green stripes and frost blue snowflake designer paper from Tinkering Ink. The white base was cuttlebugged with the swiss dots folder. The snowflake button from Favorite Findings, 3 light blug gemstones from Kaiser Craft and blue/white dotted grosgrain ribbon (from my great buddy, Lee Murphy!) finish this holiday card.
And look at these fun fellas! I love the jolly bear and 3 penguins pulling his sleigh--these guys are heading to the North pole to give the big guy their Christmas wish lists in person!

Thank you again for visiting me! Have a happy and blessed day!

Ok, Sunday since my last post...really? I was doing so well too! I have found some time to create this week though lol! These gift tags below will come in very handy for Christmas and were so very simple to make with this delightful little set from Clear Dollar Stamps, Gift Labels! This set comes with everything you need to create a variety of fun and festive gift labels and tags! I used the 1", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punch as well as the scallop circle punch from Stampin Up! for mine, but there are so many more possibilities! I colored the images with Copic Ciao markers and the gold trim from Gina K. Designs.

Also, a fun holiday card using the adorable and fun set, Just Chillin'. I went a little crazy at the top with my Cropadile, I know lol. I added some of my favorite stuff for snow, DecoArt white foam paint and sprinkled chunky white glitter over it for some sparkle.

Thank you so very much for stoppin by my blog. I'm off to see what all my crafty friends will inpsire and wow me with tonight!! :D

Jumbo Ornament Gift Tags

Hi there, I made some fun ornament shaped gift tags with this absolutely adorable new set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Just Chillin'. I stamped the snowflakes from this set for the backgrounds and used up some ivory felt scraps to create the snowy hill bases. I added a bit of diamond stickles to the felt for some sparkle. The 1 3/8" circle punch and scallop circle punch from SU! were used for the centers with images. Cropadiled the eyelets at the top and tied silver string through to finish. Simple and fun :)

Thanks for stoppin' by! Have a wonderful and creative day!

Christmas Carolers Pop-Up Card

Hello friends, I hope everyone is enjoying your weekend. With Thanksgiving 2 days behind us, we are now in Christmas mode..full-speed ahead! I'll be putting up my tree today and decorating the house for the rest of the weekend. What else am I doing in between--makin Christmas cards of course! :) I adore the Billy and Maggie Carolers from Clear Dollar Stamps! They are sooo cute..reminds me of little Cindy Lou Who from Whoville with her big, round eyes and long lashes, hehe. I had a lot of fun creating this pop-up card. I love the added interest and fun a pop-up card possesses. Everyone seems to enjoy them and think so much of them and they are quite simple to make!

Merry Kittie and Pup

Hello friends and happy Friday! I made a card for this weekend's Clear Dollar Stamps Clearly Inspired challenge and its a great sketch, although I my oval is far larger than the sketch, so I will say that I loosely interpreted this sketch hehe. Anyhow I really enjoy this darling new set called Billy and Maggie Carolers, which obviously comes with SO many more accessory images! On this card, I sat these 2 furry little cuties under the charming street lamp...darn it, I didn't think of adding snow to the ground until just now, so I'm going to do that, but this is how the card looks now :) I colored the images with Copic Ciao markers and layered a couple of holiday patterns, adding stripes of ribbon between each. The swiss dots embossing folder is great, especially on white--it always seems to make the card more pretty.
Hey, I hope you can join in the fun and play along this weekend too! Find all the details and tons of extraordinary card inspriration for this weekend sketch on Lori's Blog, Clearly I Stamp. Thanks so much for visiting! :)

All Bundled Up

Hi there crafty peeps! I hope everyone is having a great week and enjoying this Fall season so far. Although I am a summer girl at heart, there is such glory and beauty in every season and each is to be celebrated for its unique reasons and blessings.
And so as Autumn "falls" upon us, I feel the nostalia of my childhood and all the wonderful memories of Autumns past. I love the sound of the colorful fallen leaves crunch under my feet as I walk my maddie through the neighborhood, taking in the crisp air and the sights around me...the glorious view of Mt. Rainier (on a clear day), the spectacular trees as they shred their leaves, the beauty of nature simply being, just there for us to gaze upon...a truly awesome gift if you as me. =)
On the oher hand, its gettin downright COLD out there!!! I've already broken out the 3/4 length wool coat, scarf and mittens! Even this little furbaby from Clear Dollar Stamps is feelin' the chill in the air, but thankfully has its little hat and scarf--all warm n cozy now and ready for a nice Autumn stroll!

This darling pup is part of Billy and Maggie Fall Fun, a brand new set illustrated by Wendy Hall and is absolutely delightful!
Thanks for poppin' in! have a happy and creative day! Here is some of what maddie and I see on our fall walks......
