I {Heart} Monday!

And how could I not?! With so many fun Valentine's challenges going on right now, I'm spinning with ideas for the upcoming holiday! I must first thank a newfound blogging buddy, Sunshine HoneyBee, who I visited last week after seeing here super cute Valentine treat holder. She shared a whole bunch of current blog challenges including links and I was so inspired by her that I joined in a couple of them too. So, thank you Sunshine HoneyBee!!! You have certainly brightened my crafting world!
Now onto my projects and the challenges I made them for! First is my child's Valentine using Red/White/Pink color combo and any Cricut cartridge. This is for the Cooking With Cricut Challenge #71 at Melinda's Paper Crafting World.
Cricut cartridge "Once Upon A Princess" (cupcake), Stamp sentiment MCT, patterned paper from DCWV "Sweet Shoppe", Cuttlebug embossing folders Divine Swirls and Swiss Dots
Next is my entry for the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog, Valentine Treat/Holders! I don't yet own any A Muse products, but they are so super sweet over there, everyone is welcome to play! I think I see adding some A Muse products to my crafting collection in the very near future!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! There's still plenty of time to join in the 2 challenges above, just click on the links if you want to play and don't forget to let me know if you do so I can visit your blog and see your super sweet creations!!!

A Hoppy Valentine Pop-Up Card

Happy Thursday friends! I'm pretty sure the groundhog saw his shadow in Seattle, even though the weather has been sunny and fair, 10 days ago we were snowed in so I won't get my hopes up just yet ;) I've been wanting to use up some scraps and the Cricut is obviously perfect for this--Paisley was calling to me, with all of it's fun animals, I chose the cute frog and decided to make it a pop up card for a lil more "ummphh"!
I realized that one of MCT's stamps from the Classmate Valentine's set has this super perfect valentine sentiment to match mr frog! hooray!!!

Bouquet Of Love and Kisses

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I made a little valentine using this darling bouquet of hearts from Unity Stamps. I added 2 rhinestone stars and 1 bling-n-dazzle flower to spruce up my love bouquet. The "Kisses" word is a single stamp from Imaginisce's Love Me collection. The white base was cuttled with the swiss dots embossing folder. A red sheer ribbon down the center an done! :)
Thanks so much for visiting me. I will out of town for the next 12 days demonstrating the CRICUT Personal Cutting Machine at the Sequim, WA Costco. For those of you who might be in the area, I hope you can stop by to see all the wonderful possibilities this awesome machine has to offer any crafter, scrap booker and cardmaker alike!!! We'll be demonstrating during regular business hours at this Costco location from January 15th-24th. Hope to see you there, it will be a great time! :) Until next time, happy crafting and have a creative day!

Valentine's

Hey friends, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year!!! May 2010 be our very best ever! Now on to our next holiday and one of my favorites, Valentine's Day...hey, it's only a little over 5 weeks away peeps--it's coming our way fast..so consequently, I've begun my Valentine's card makin! :)
First, today's SCS sketch challenge, hosted by one fabulously crafty lady, Carolina Buchting! She designed a truly awesome sketch for us and here is my take on it.
Note: My watermark on the card above is a faux pas in that is does not include My Favorite Things stamps. Please disregard this mistake. thanks :)
I stamped the big dotted heart in white craft and embossed it in gold. The sweetheart sentiment and 2 smaller hearts in the corner are from a $1 mini stamp set from Studio G-love that company! I added some gold stickles to the corner piece and a tiny white bow to the main image panel.
Now, for my actual My Favorite Things card. I just felt like playing with this darling little set from MFT, Cupcake Flopsey and it makes for perfect valentines cards, yay! :)

Thank you so much for hoppin by my blog today :) Have a great one, friends!

Vintage Sweethearts

If you love vintage, you'll adore CRAFTY SECRETS! The link to their store in on my *Best Places To Shop* list. I placed an order and not was the delivery of my goodies super fast, but they included 2 FREE sheets of high quality sticker sheets! I don't know if they do it all the time, but it's definitely nice to get something for nothing, hehe! The background dp is from Basic Grey's figging pudding 6x6 paper pack...I had a few sheets left over from Christmas and it worked nicely. I used my scalloped scissors on the frame...I long for Nestabilities but alas, I have none. I made a strip for the bottom and added another of my crocheted blossoms (just love those things.) I popped the tag and framed image up on dimensionals and sponged everything. The box is simply traced, cut and folded identically as the original "Sweethearts" candy box, found at most mini-marts and grocery stores right now. Thanks for taking a peek!

Sexy Panty Valentine Card

Okay, this is the cutest, is it not?! It was one of the challenges for SCS's Virtual Stamping Night last weekend called "Put Your Big Girl Panties On" by Frances (aka: StampOwl) and I loved it! The rear and panty pattern along with some fabulous samples can be found here:

I used cream cardstock for the rear end base and lipstick red glitter paper for the panties. I glued black lace trim along the top of the panties and stamped a sexy little heart tattoo on one cheek, lol! I lightly sponged pink ink around the rear with a dauber to create depth. Oh, and I tied 2 little red bows to each side. That's it! Super easy, so adorable and too much fun!

NOTE: This same template makes a "chest" too! Just make a bikini top, add a necklace with bling and you've got another sexy card!

I think these are perfect cards for single guys...or any straight guy, for that matter. Make one too, it's a blast! ~Hugs and Sexy Stampin'--hehe!~

Circle Valentine

I made a circle shaped card for the "My Favorite Things" challenge to be a guest designer for the month of February. I began with the white doiley and went from there. I used the Coluzzle cutting system, circle and oval templates and cut around most of them with cloud scallop scissors...no, I don't have nestabilities, YET!

There are so many different shapes of cards you can make--circle oval, hexagon, triangle, heart, the possibilities and endless and so is the inspiration at www. splitcoaststampers.com. Try something fresh, fun and new today! ~hugs and happy creating~

Stuck On You!

This was made for SplitCoastStampers "ways to use it" challenge today to make a card with FLOWERS! Any kind of flowers--stamps, embellies, floral paper, whatever! I used the porcupine and heart stamps from Stampin' Up!'s Moose You set and framed him in flowers and hearts, sponging all edges in pink and red. My lovestruck porcupine and the hearts are popped up on dimensionals. I frayed the ends of the ribbon because I cut them crooked--whatever's clever! I added a small oval epoxy sticker to the center of the ribbon.

Check out all the great challenges at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ for yourself and be inspired!
