Moving along to day 4 of My Creative Time's 12 days of Christmas:
Altered Tin Pails
I found my mini white pails in the wedding section at my local dollar store, they come 3 to a pack for a buck and I am thinking I need to return and pick up like a whole bunch more of these! They are just so fast and simple to decorate and customize for so many occasions, in this case Christmas--hoorayyy for Christmas!! :)
* The tiny Christmas tree and title "Happy Holidays" are a couple of the many wonderful images and sentiments you'll find in MCT's All Around Christmas set.
* Tissue paper stamped in certainly celery (SU!) with the polka dots stamp from MCT's Build A Banner set.
* I punched a hole in either side of the oval titles and strung narrow white satin ribbon through and around the pails, then tied to the front side.  Also, I adorned each with a small green heart brad and sponged certainly celery around the oval for some depth. I added styrofoam glitter stars to the handles, but think of the possibilites for handle decor: ribbons, hollyberries, flowers, tags, chipboard shapes, more stamped images, charms etc.........
* Fill your pail with: any small treat, a small gift like a piece of jewerly, lipgloss, or for a crafty friend, a small bag of embellishments like buttons, bling, etc!  Of course you could always just put some cold hard CA$H in them too!!! However, hershey kisses are cheaper soooo mine are filled with chocolate instead of money haha!

CAS Happy Tin!

Happy Monday! Today I came up with a quick and easy (not to mention, yummy!) gift tin using Clear Artistic Stamps. The cover features a lovely floral image with a resting butterfly from the Country Life set and the inside has a cute daisy flower from Hop Into Spring stamped all over it. Around the outside is 2 strips of SEI designer paper adhered with my thinnest red sticky tape. My chocolate rub-on's from SU! help finish this tin and, of course...chocolate itself! Tip: 6 individual Reese's peanut butter cups fit snug, but perfectly in this tin, available at Gina K.

PMS Pick-Me-Up!

Hello friends-- Ok, here's a little survival kit that every girl could use! Not much to explain...we all have those days...PMS--Midol--Chocolate--nuff said.

This yummy patterned paper is from Studio 8's "Delishious Desserts" collection. Melanie's "What's In Your Tin" sets 1 and 2 were used to create the front and inside borders as well as the front cover title. The 3 letter brads have some diamond stickles applied to them for sparkle and I added a white flourish rub-on to lower corner. I like the little poem I came up with for the inside and here's another especially for us stampers:

"Headache, backache, stomach cramping,

just pop a Midol, have some chocolate and get back to stamping!" hehe

And remeber, ladies, they are refillable for every month, lol! My DH says this should be called the husband's pms survival kit because it will save him too--har har! ~Hugs and Happy Stamping~

Tea Time Card & Tin

Hello and happy day to you! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend, my friends! Here is a little card and tea tin gift set using my new Teacup Fairies stamp set from Clear Artistic Stamps. Oh, this set is just darling and full of whimsy and fantasy--so much fun! Perfect for all the new Gina K. tea tins I have too! I stamped one of the teacups from this set for the main image on the card and also the blue flowers to create a patterned design. The dragonfly was stamped, cut and popped up for dimension. The pretty dp is from Quick Quotes and I couldn't resist adding that heart stick pin, which was part of Joanie's massive blog candy package that I won! Thanks so much for visiting today! ~Hugs and Happy Stamping~

Tag-N-Tin Gift

Hey friends! Here's a fun one--a mini tag book that fits perfectly inside an altoid tin for a cute little gift! SplitCoastStampers Ways To Use It Challenge this week is to use tags, so I went on the search for something great...I didn't have to look very far! On Scor-Pal I found this project with a simple tutorial by Valerie Stangle (she's so fabulous). When I saw that it used an altoid tin, that was it! I got to partake in today's WT challenge and use my new "What's In Your Tin" sets, Yay!!!

Each tag in my mini book is good for *1 free* something or other and they never expire, so they are redeemable forever! A fun gift for anyone special in your life, just cater it to his/her needs. Cool! Visit Valerie's tutorial and make a tag-n-tin gift too! If you do, I would love to see it, so please let me know where it can be viewed! Thanks for visiting today! ~hugs and happy altering~

Altered Valentine Tins

I got this 3 pack of gold tins from Gina K. Designs for only 3.99! I altered them for valentine's day. The tops are not stamps, they are called "chip toppers" from Bazzill Basics and they are actually stickers. I got them online from http://www.embellishonline.com/. Other cardstock used here was white, pink, red and caramel along with my Coluzzle circle template and scallop scissors. Very easy and so much fun!

Find something to alter for yourself today! You don't have to buy a tin, just look around the house for anything not being used or use an interesting container that may otherwise be thown away. Nut cans, fruit and veggie cans, bottle caps, glass bottles, etc. The possibilities go on and on! ~hugs and happy altering!~
