Country Christmas Mason Jars

Hello my friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are getting all geared up for the next round--Christmas!!! I had a whole lot of family fly in over the Thanksgiving holiday and hostessing a house full of people leaves little to NO time for crafting, blogging and other online stuff like Facebook--I didn't even get on FB once for over a week--yikes!!! Well, all is quiet in my home now and I'm super excited to be back! I'm looking foward to the countless Christmas projects that I know y'all will be inspiring me with over this month and I can't wait to see all your delightful creations! Here's my first Christmas project for this year--altered mason jars! I'm going for a simple look this year in my holiday decorating and these are about as easy as you can get! Inexpensive too and I think they are just charming as can be. There are tons of different festive pine cones, sprigs and berries, fake candy, flowers, etc decorations at Joann's fabric store. I picked up quite a few over the years and they came in perfect for this project. I decorated my jars with a variety of little goodies I had in my Christmas decor stash already--just had fun with it and didn't think too much about perfect placement or any of that. Putting a fake candle at the base of the jar makes it even more special! Decorate the rim with raffia or pretty ribbons to finish! Oh and always keep your eyes peeled for a unique find when you're out n about shopping--(I found this old bird cage at a thrift store a few weeks ago for $3.00--super stoked about that)! :D
