Shabby and Distressed Gift Bag... but don't despair!

Happy Monday friends, hope you had a great weekend! Did my title throw you? It sounds like I was gettin ready to show you a pretty sad little gift bag, haha. But really, I was in a vintage-type mood today anyway so when I saw the  The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge--do not stress, distress! I was inspired and decided to make a shabby-chic style gift bag w/ coordinating tissue paper and a perfect sized vanilla candle to fit inside. Distressing takes away any need for perfection and I love it! I stamped this toile background stamp from Unity Stamp Co in Blush Blossom on the white gift bag (12 for $1 at Dollar Tree) and tissue paper, then embellished with Prima roses (I get my Prima flowers at Scrapbooking.com because they seem to be the cheapest!),  ivory lace trim from Fancy Pants and a white heart pin from my friend Lee :)
Vintage image and sentiment from Crafty Secrets stamp set called Sweet Kids and they are so sweet!
I will be entering my gift bag into the following challenges:
(I hope this qualifies!...even though I used peach, I did not use any pink)

Thank you so very much for stopping by, it means a lot to me! Hugs and happy crafting!

The Outlawz- A Wildly Fun Bunch!

Hey y'all, happy Sunday! I found an awesome website recently called The Outlawz, many may already be familiar with this fabulous bunch of crafty and super sweet peeps, but I'm a noob and I've had a lot of fun the past few days participating in their challenges--a different one each day really keeps the creative juices flowing! These ladies have been so welcoming and supportive and I'm just so happy I found THE OUTLAWZ! If ya couldn't tell ;) Today I made a card for their Wednesday Sketch Challenge--everyone is welcome to join just like I did and I sure hope you do cuz it's a wild good time!
Mr. cutie patootie penguin is from a brand new set from Totally Stampalicious called PARTY PENGUINS designed by the fabulous artist Jodie Mackrell (available in digi at Bugaboo Stamps)
Thank you for visiting me today! I hope the remaining hours of your weekend and wonderful! xoxo

She's Magic

Happy Friday the 13th peeps! I was so excited when I saw the Sassy Studio Designs fabulous freebie Friday digi today, she's magic! And their awesome challenge is Leather and Lace, so in the spirit of this SUPER-sticious day and SSD's super fabulous freebie, here's what I made!
All tag cuts from Happy Hauntings cartridge, such fun!
Her name is Queen Gorgo (inspired from the movie 300) and Sassy Studio Designs still has her available for free HERE--but hurry!

Here is my leather n lace. Those mini leather tags were sorta tan so I rubbed hues of dark blue and purple metallic rub-on medium until I got a look that was satisfying. The lace is recycled  lace scrap trimming from a dress I wore to a wedding when I was 10...my Mom sent it to me along in a box full of childhood memories--this dress wasn't gonna be treasured in any special way, so I decided to scrap it! :)

I will be entering my Bewitching Tag into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a bewitiching and magicial weekend!
