Okay, my home decor project is super-duper quick and easy! I cut some words from the Give A Hoot cartridge using pink vinyl and stuck them onto these 3 ceramic flower pots (found at Joann's on the clearance shelf for $1.97, cha-ching!) filled with Dollar Tree florals and voila! A pretty and bright addition to any room!....especially girls who love pink! hehe. But really, think of the possibilities for something like this--inexpensive centerpieces for party reception tables, cheerful desk top decor for co-workers and teachers, display on a window sill or in a kitchen sun window (maybe put different herbs in each and label) or simply above the mantle like I've done--and customize it with your Cricut and any color vinyl! I also love vinyl because it's easy to remove from surfaces so you can change it up whenev!

Hello friends and happy Friday, whoo hoo! I wanted to get this card done before the weekend because there's so much crafty fun going on in bloggerland and I want to be in on all of it! I will be participating in the Cooking with Cricut Home Decor blog hop on Saturday and Sunday, which is sure to be packed full of awesome inspiration and ideas for using your Cricut machine to make fabulous home decor projects! And I definitely can't miss the Sassy Studio Designs new release and blog hop on Saturday at 7pm, hope to see lots of friends there too cuz I think it's gonna be a blast! Cooking With Cricut Challenge #82- National Card and Letter Writing Month!

Happy Wednesday and welcome to another wonderful Cooking with Cricut challenge! It is National Card and Letter Writing Month and so our challenge to you is to create something for yourself or someone else in the spirit of writing letters, the old fashioned way! With the speed of technology today, this may be a true challenge for some, but I remember the good ol' days of pen-pals and enchanging letters with my bff in California for many years very fondly.  Nothing compares!

I made a traditional stationary set for my 4 year old niece, Hannah. Although her letter writing skills may not yet be the most sophisticated, I hope it will encourage her to use her pretty butterfly stationary for whatever her little heart desires, practice her alphabet or even draw a picture! I love the idea of my sister helping her address a letter and sending it off in the mail- signed, sealed and delivered :)

 I made my stationary set with the Tie The Knot cartridge (stationary paper, butterflies, sponged the negative image of butterfly in the corner of each envelope, 2 ea in matching colors with the stationary)

What A Circus!

Hey peeps, happy Tuesday! This is what I made for the 5th Wobble Wednesday's Challange-3 Circles! The challenge calls for 3 circles and I have more than that, but it could not be helped lol. I started with my circus themed card then I found animal crackers at the dollar tree this morning so I had to include a little treat with it :)

 I'm not sure why I love circus theme so much, but my Birthday Cakes cartridge totally satisfies this craving!

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #81- Card Outreach

Happy Wednesday and welcome to another Cooking With Cricut challenge. It was so awesome to see all the fabulous Easter creations that were cooked up last week--choosing our Top Chefs will be hard! This week's challenge #81 is a card outreach--translation: create an encouraging, thinking of you or just plain happy card for 2 girls battling Cancer. Emily is 6 and Patty is 13, so I wanted my cards to be age appropriate. Here's what I made for the girls...

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #80- EASTER!

Happy Wednesday friends! Well the countdown is on and only 4 days til Easter Sunday so what better theme for this week's Cooking with Cricut challenge #80! I hope you will pull out your Cricut machine and join us for our Easter challenge! I used my Sweet Treats cartridge to make a cute little treat basket and matching card along with my Swiss Dots embossing folder for a bit of dimension.

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #79- Make me laugh!

I'll apologize in advance for the advertisement that seems to be the lovely new feature of blogger, whether we want it or not! Ugh...I knew free would eventually come with a price! Oh bother! I digress....

Hello and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday Cooking with Cricut Challenge!

This week we have a Fun! Fun! Fun! theme-challenge #79-make us laugh with an April Fool's Day, funny quote, poem, pun or saying! There are endless Cricut cartridges that fit this bill! I used my "Give A Hoot" and "Sweet Treats" cartridges for my stair-step-fold card below and there's a ton of inspiration at the Cooking with Cricut blog, so grab your favorite funny Cricut cartridge and get cooking!!!

I can't remember where I got this sentiment, but I remember that I loved it, had to have it and never inked it up until this very challenge! Don't forget that Earth Day is April 22 this year and what better reason to celebrate than with chocolate! It's official, Spring has arrived! Too bad Seattle didn't get the memo yesterday...it snowed--snort!

Today, however, is shaping up beautifully, the sun is shining so I thought of a great song that everyone is sure to recognize, BEAUTIFUL DAY by U2.  I'm going to hang up my pretty Spring banner to set the mood for the season and for our Cooking With Cricut Challenge #78-Sing A Spring Song! Cooking With Cricut Challenge #77- Let's Celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

Hello and happy Wednesday!

This week is our Cooking With Cricut challenge #77, "St. Patrick's Day" but of course! It's coming up this Saturday and I, for one, cannot wait to put my corn beef brisket into the crock pot and let those wonderful aromas fill the air all day long!

I'm A New Cooking With Cricut Designer & CWC Challenge #76!

Hello and happy Wednesday! I've been bursting at the seams with anticipation to tell my crafting friends and blogging buddies some exciting news...and the day has come to reveal it! Yay, I'm absolutely overjoyed to share with you that I've made the "Cooking With Cricut" Spring/Summer 2012 Design Team!  I can't wait for all of the fun to come, starting right now with our Dr. Suess Birthday Celebratsion and Reading Across America CWC challenge #76! Dr. Suess and reading are two of my most cherished childhood memories and I hope my niece and nephew will appreciate the joy of reading as much as I have over the years. My niece, Hannah is 4 years old and at the perfect age to begin her own wonderous journey with reading and with Dr. Suess--PaperCraftingWorld.com makes it super easy with the brand new cutting files and digital stamps--adorable and fun don't even begin to describe them and I just had a blast playing with them and making this Dr. Suess gift for Miss Hannah! It includes 10 of my favorite Dr. Suess stories...

 Thing 1 and Thing 2 adorn the oversized gift tag I made and aren't they adorbs?! These guys are available pre-colored or black/white to color yourself! Either way, it's oodles of fun!

When she finishes all of them, my sister can award her with her reading certifcate (from Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge) stating "I read 10 Dr. Suess books in 2012!" I hope Hannah enjoys it as much as I did making it :)

This totally cute image is a digital stamp also available in color or black/white and it's great for working on coloring---still practicing ya know but that's why the pre-colored images are alos a fantastic choice! ;)

translation...Let The Good Times Roll! Hello and happy weekend!!! I know it's a bit early to start celebrating Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday falls on Feb. 21st) but when I saw this week's challenge over at A Muse Studio's Challenge Blog, make a card/project with the traditional colors of Mardi Gras, PURPLE-YELLOW/GOLD-GREEN, I simply had to join in the fun! Then I saw the new "Cooking With Cricut" challenge #73 using a really great sketch and Boom! That was all the inspiration I needed. So here is my card for these 2 aforementioned challenges and I hope YOU will join in the fun too!!

In addition to the sketch, you must choose any 3 of 9 different embellishments to add to your card, mine being brads, stickles and fibers/ribbon. The Cricut cut I used is from the Sentimentals cartridge and I found it to be perfect for Mardi Gras theme. "Celebrate" sentiment from MCT Teeny Tag Greetings
