Mini Easter Pails

Hello friends and happy Thursday.  Today I made a trio of fun pails that are the perfect size for a sweet Easter treat or goodie.  They are very similar to the mini Christmas pails I made in December and since they were so easy, I thought they'd be just as fun for Easter! I picked up these white mini pails at my local Dollar Tree (3 per/pk for $1) can't beat that!
My Creative Time products used for this project include: Scallop and Stitched Circle Die and Happy Hunting stamp set.
Did you know that it is as easy as 1-2-3 to create your own custom tissue paper?! Oh boy, is it ever! 1-plain white tissue paper, 2-favorite stamps, 3-inks--voila! Told ya! :)  I used My Creative Time Spring Chicken Backgrounds stamp set to make my floral patterned tissue paper
I'm entering my Easter pails into Jill's Sunday's Are Lovely #8 + Giveaway! Check it out, it's awesome!
And I hope you like em! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!!! xoxo

3-D Wednesday with My Creative Time!

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends! This week My Creative Time is having a super fun 3-D challenge with a twist! Make any 3-D card or project with TEXTURE! I created a vintage-style hanging treat holder that reminds me of the Victorian era and Valentine's Day so MCT's 100% Sweetness stamp set complimented it perfectly!
Here's the deets on how to make this treat holder for anyone interested in trying it:
*Start with a patterned or stamped cardstock, 12" x 9" x 9" triangle.
*Fold in half at the triangles point, then unfold.
*Fold in right side, then left side to form a "diamond" shape. There will be 2 extra flaps the come to a point at the top of the folds. Cut one off and fold the other in (or cut both off, whichever you prefer.)
*My finished pouch measures 3 3/4" on the top angles and 4 3/4" on the bottom angles and it's 6 1/2" tall.

I sewed the lace trim along the top for prettyness and texture and adorned the front with a variety of other pretties :) The hanger was easily attached with a small bling brad at the top and bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Visit Emma's blog HERE to see our design team's super awesome projects today!
On a personal note, the holidays were crazy for me and I am overjoyed to be back in my craft room creating and back to my wonderful world of blogging friends! You all inspire me so much and I hope you have a beautiful day!

MCT 12 Days of Christmas- Day 4!

Hi, I hope everyone is enjoying your weekend! If you arrived here from LeAnne's blog then you are in the right place! Of course she will also show you what today's GIVEAWAY is and I'm talking seriously awesome stuff peeps-- so be sure to comment on every team members blog for your chance to win today!!!

Moving along to day 4 of My Creative Time's 12 days of Christmas:
Altered Tin Pails
I found my mini white pails in the wedding section at my local dollar store, they come 3 to a pack for a buck and I am thinking I need to return and pick up like a whole bunch more of these! They are just so fast and simple to decorate and customize for so many occasions, in this case Christmas--hoorayyy for Christmas!! :)
* The tiny Christmas tree and title "Happy Holidays" are a couple of the many wonderful images and sentiments you'll find in MCT's All Around Christmas set.
* Tissue paper stamped in certainly celery (SU!) with the polka dots stamp from MCT's Build A Banner set.
* I punched a hole in either side of the oval titles and strung narrow white satin ribbon through and around the pails, then tied to the front side.  Also, I adorned each with a small green heart brad and sponged certainly celery around the oval for some depth. I added styrofoam glitter stars to the handles, but think of the possibilites for handle decor: ribbons, hollyberries, flowers, tags, chipboard shapes, more stamped images, charms etc.........
* Fill your pail with: any small treat, a small gift like a piece of jewerly, lipgloss, or for a crafty friend, a small bag of embellishments like buttons, bling, etc!  Of course you could always just put some cold hard CA$H in them too!!! However, hershey kisses are cheaper soooo mine are filled with chocolate instead of money haha!

Peek A Boo!

Here I am, lol! Sorry I've been so scarce this past week. Can you believe that I've been out of adhesive and cardstock (including white!) for 5 days!?! It's sorta hard to create without essentials such as these, haha! So anyway, I finally got to the craft store and came straight home to make the fun little Peek A Boo treat holder for Project Tuesday's with Stamps and Smiles. I inked up the mini cupcakes from You Warm My Heart and used the Thank You from Carl The Cupcake.

Project Tuesday's are so much fun with Stamps and Smiles! Hope you join in the fun too! Of course, Stamps and Smiles stamps are always wonderful, but you can use any stamps you want, so c'mon out and play!

Autumn Treats Preview-Day 1

Only a crafter would understand the desire to start creating Autumn and Halloween projects in early August! I made this for day 1 of Clear Artistic Stamps sneak peek preview of the Autumn Treats stamp set. I will have more samples on my blog and links to the design teams sneak peeks thru-out this week until the big release day on August 14th!
This has got to be the easiest treat bag ever to make! It is super simple, here's the skinny:
  1. Autumn Treats Stamps by Clear Artistic Stamps
  2. 1 piece of 4 x 11" card stock, scored at 5 1/4" AND 5 3/4"
  3. white square for image and coordinating piece of cardstock to layer. (my square is about 2 1/2" x 3" before the frame.)
  4. small and large oval punch (optional)
  5. Crop-a-dile and large eyelets
  6. Ribbon

This treat bag works perfectly for a yummy sweet treat OR how about filling a little bag of fun Autumn/Halloween embellishments and give to a fellow crafting pal! FUN!

Stroll into our charming new Cottage Studio to see more yummy stuff and for a convenient place of links to the other designers. Check out Gwen’s tutorial from Monday, she is showing you how to make quick and easy cards with your nestabilities, plus see what Wendi has cooked up this week for Wednesday's with Wendi! Thanks for taking time from your day to visit me! Hugs and Happy Crafting!

CAS Happy Tin!

Happy Monday! Today I came up with a quick and easy (not to mention, yummy!) gift tin using Clear Artistic Stamps. The cover features a lovely floral image with a resting butterfly from the Country Life set and the inside has a cute daisy flower from Hop Into Spring stamped all over it. Around the outside is 2 strips of SEI designer paper adhered with my thinnest red sticky tape. My chocolate rub-on's from SU! help finish this tin and, of course...chocolate itself! Tip: 6 individual Reese's peanut butter cups fit snug, but perfectly in this tin, available at Gina K.

Clear Artistic Stamps Weekly Special...

Blackberry Fields for only $10.95!
Thank you for taking time to visit me today! Have a great one!

Gift Bag

I needed a bag for this green tea bath soak and this came together quite easily.
The finished bag measures 7 1/2"L x 3 1/4W x 2 1/2"D. It uses 1 piece of cardstock or sturdy patterned paper 9"x12". Score at 3/4", 2", 3 1/4", 6 1/2", 7 3/4", and 9". Turn and score at 1 1/2". I probably would never have figured this out had I not had my new Scor-Pal at my side! That thing is off the chain! Cut slits up the 1 1/2" scores (no need to cut at the 2" and 7 3/4" scores) to fold and create the bottom of the bag. Make all the score lines crisp and form the bag together with red double-sided sticky thin strip (note: the 2" and 7 3/4" scores will be folded in to form the creases of the bag.) Decorate the front of bag and fill it with a nice gift or treat! I wish I would have used Melanie's tin frame stamp longways, but I had already put down adhesive and it wasn't comin' off without a good fight, so rather than ruin the bag, I settled for it like this...next time. Thanks for swingin' by! Happy evening!

p.s.- since I only did 5 fun facts about myself previously and recieved some guff about it, here's 2 more:
  • I love the snow, but I hate to be cold--my dh's been trying to get me to snowboard for years and the answer remains...no. I worship the sun, but I mostly fake-n-bake to get tan in the summer.
  • I want to visit Tombstone, AZ more than anything! I know, it's wierd and my Grandmother's says it's just another tourist town anyway, but I don't care. I want to see the Birdcage Theater, the OK Corral, The Oriental, all of it! I kind of like keeping it on a pedastal in my head since I'll most likely be disappointed if and when I ever get there.
Ok, happy girls?! J/K, you know that. You weren't gonna let me slide, though were ya--such sweeties! hugs!

Custom Cookie Favors

Hello crafting friends! I created some cookie favors using these fabulous clear boxes from DeNami Design! They were so easy using some pretty designer paper from Basic Grey and a few handmade tags! The purses and high heel shoes stamps are from DeNami Design's Mimi Collection and I thought they would be so cute for the tags...I came up with a fun little sentiment we ladies can all understand--"Eat Cookies, Buy Shoes!" and "Eat Cookies, Buy Purses!" ...because no matter how many cookies we eat, we can always fit into a cute pair of shoes with an adorable handbag on our arm! Can I get an amen! Each box has 3 chocolate chip cookies wrapped in clear saran wrap with pink crimped paper shreds around them. I tied each tag around the top with silver wire cord to finish. I see endless possibilities for these clear boxes, which come in a variety of different shapes--so fun!!! Just think of all the occasions...Baby and Wedding showers, Wedding and Graduation receptions, Summer Family Reunions and High School Reunions--see, so many possibilities! Thanks so much for stopping in--hope you found some inspiration! Hugs and Happy Stamping!
PS- Nope, I didn't bake these--they're Chips Ahoy cookies straight outta the package, hehe!

Bloomin' Bags

I made these little Easter treat holders using some nice patterned paper from K. & Company's Margo collection. They are each a piece of 4 x 10" paper, scored at 4", 5 1/2" and 9 1/2". I trimmed my fold-over tops with scallop scissors for a cute border. I cut each colored image from Gina K's "Baskets of Happiness" stamp set and popped them on dimensionals above the stamped sentiments. I added a coordinating ribbon to each flap and made little tags using Gina K.'s "Rectangle Greetings" stamp set. These can be altered to fit lots of different treats and are quickly completed too! TFL!

Superbowl Munchies

Hi and happy Friday! I made a fun snack pack for Superbowl Sunday and also for the SCS limited supplies challenge today. How fun and totally easy--I just decorated a dollar store water bottle and filled it with munchies! I added some corn nuts and nutter butter's to the mix as well...all we really care about is the food anyway, am I right?!
If you are attending a Superbowl party, I think this would make a cute little hostess gift--and it cost less than 3 bucks-Duh, more moolah for new STAMPS, lol!
Thanks for visiting friends! PS- In honor of the wonderful friends who visit my blog and leave such wonderful and inspiring comments, I am hosting my very first BLOG CANDY Giveaway, beginning Monday, February 4th. Come back on Monday to feast your eyes on the blog candy package! I'm tellin' ya, you'll love it! Have a most blessed weekend! ~Hugs and Happy Stamping~
