Sweet n Sassy Inspiration Challenge- Cupcakes & Cocoa

Hi friends! This card is for the Sweet n Sassy Stamps Inspiration Challenge #12 found HERE. It was very inspiring indeed and so much fun! I love the yumminess of this 0 calorie cupcake inspiration!

I wanted a winter card so I inked up the big mug from Sweet n Sassy's "Warm Up" set and re-stamped it onto a scrap of patterned paper I liked. I used the "whipped cream" topping to make it a cupcake top instead and made an easy cupcake base from another piece of scrap dp. I sponged a big of creamy caramel (SU!) and distressed the edges of the image frame. Cuttlebugged the blue base with swiss dots embossing folder then had fun with embellishments, as you can see :) Hope you play along too, it goes all month long! Thanks so much for visiting me. Have a creative day!

Cocoa & Friends...

...They are the same--they both warm your heart! :) I adore this new Sweet 'n Sassy set by Korin Sutherland called Warm Up. It is SO fun and has all these darling sentiments to match. For Judy's LCS on SCS yesterday, the theme was to make something that involved chocolate--ok, totally not hard. I added the whipped topping to my hot cocoas using white foam paint sprinkled with real cinnamon for more fun! It's easy and it makes your card smell yummy! Who isn't in love with Basic Grey's new holiday line of paper called Wassail?!?! Isn't it the most gorgeous! I'm addicted to it for sure!

I was absolutely dying to ink up my new "Do Not Open Till Dec. 25" label stamp from Unity, so last night I did and created this little gift card holder. Again, Wassail dp and buttons were used and some wide red taffeta ribbon, along with this wood tree which I dotted with diamond stickles and let dry.

Well, that's all for now. I really appreciate you visiting me--it truly makes my day! I hope to get out and about to see what all you creative peeps have been up to today! Happy Weekend!

A New Sweet 'N Sassy DT In 2009!

Have you heard the news!?! Korin over at Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps has announced her fabulous new Design Team for the first half of 2009! I applied and did not make the team, but I am so happy for this awesome group of talented artists whom will definitely be inspiring me to no end! A big congratulations to all of the lovely ladies who made the team!

And now I can share the cards I made for the dt call. I do not see them as rejects--I am proud of myself for trying out. I think that if you ever want to go for something, you should not let the fear of rejection stop you--you never know what opportunities may come from trying.

This card features an adorable ice skating duo illustrated by Rachel Anne Miller. They are from the 2008 Christmas collection.

My 2nd card features the darling Christmas Carolers, also from Rachel Anne Miller's Christmas 2008 Collection.

My last 2 cards feature stamps from Korin Sutherland's new Thanksgiving set called Turkey Day.

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you have a great one and now I'm off to see what all you creative people are up to! :) xoxo
